Where in the world is the Vindolanda Field School?


Do you know where we are? This beautiful facade, no doubt made more striking by the stunning purple Western flag, is the York Minster. We’re here for the weekend, so you might miss us for a few days. But we’ll tell you all about it when we return!

  1. A great part of our trip last year. I marveled at how many layers of history are piled up in York. And those narrow streets with all the shops, the walk around the Roman wall, and the long climb to the top of the York Minster were highlights of a magical four days. And I can’t forget the railroad museum…fantastic!
