More Snaps from High Street

Hello Readers,

I had a great time taking Rob, Rachel, Prem, Steve and Morgan up to High Street on Sunday.  The weather was, as we say here, evocative, but spirits were high and everyone took it in stride (so to speak).  Of course, we all took a million pictures.  Few of them have any chance of capturing the beautiful views or the wonder of the Roman road (especially through the pea soup fog and occasional driving rain), but I though I might add a few of mine to Rob’s.  I hope you enjoy them and that they entice you to give High Street a go next time you’re in the neighborhood.

A passing stranger was kind of enough to snap a shot of us as we starter a descent. You can see the weather clearing. Rob was enjoying the view from nearby.

This is a view back up toward high street from Pasture Beck. It doesn't do it justice, but if you look closely you can see a group f about twenty hikers making their way down behind us. The scenery is immense.

The view over Ullswater from Aira Force. We were all looking forward to our next trip to the Lakes. We'll head back down on Friday.

Thanks again to the guys for coming with me. I couldn’t have asked for better company.

“Follow the river, it’s the only way to be sure.”  -Rob on which path to follow on our descent.
