Weekly overhead

Hello Everyone,

We’re entering our fifth consecutive day of bright sunshine here in Northumberland. The local economy is thriving due to our consumption of sunscreen. Safety first!

Our internet situation is still not sorted but we did acquire a new ladder.  So, I’d like to start a tradition of posting a few overhead pictures of the excavation every week. Here are a couple of the excavations on Wednesday.  We’ll try to take some more today. I’ve also included a photo from last year to remind you what that trench looked like then.

We’re off on a big hike tomorrow, so lots of pictures will appear soon.  The students will also resume posting as soon as our connection at home is restored. Could it be TODAY?!?! The suspense is killing me.

Cheers,

Alex

  1. Hello Alex – speaking of ‘health and safety’, hope someone is holding the ladder?! How fantastic to see the features so clearly delineated. When you have the chance it would be nice to have a bit of commentary on what you think these various might be. Have a great hike on Saturday, may the weather hold up.

  2. Everything looks wonderful. We have finished our dig over here and our trench is all covered in tarps ready to be buried with the digger….. Can’t wait to see how your dig proceeds.

  3. Nice job securing the ladder, Alex. I like the overhead pictures. And you don’t even need an airplane for these ones!
