Rainy day activities!

We were rained off on Friday from the beginning to end of the day! Health and safety protocol kept us away from the muddy trenches but not from the historical landscape. We took the chance to hike past a Roman milestone, coal seams, an Iron Age hillfort, Roman signal tower and the quarry worked from the Roman through Victorian periods.
